Rebels 16U (Spencer) Take 1st at National Qualifier

Rebels 16U Spencer takes first at USSSA national qualifier in Rosemont at Bandits stadium. The team went a perfect 6-0 in the Live the Dream qualifier and had a couple of come from behind victories with timely hitting and solid defense. Congratulations ladies!



Rebels 18U (Yackle) Take 4th at Nationals in Chaska, MN

Rebels 18U (Yackle) took 4th place over the weekend in a pool of 24 teams representing IL, WI, MI, MN, NE, and Manitoba, Canada. Congratulations, girls!

Rebels 18U (Mellstead/Seranko) Take 1st At USSSA National Qualifier in Sycamore

Rebels 18U (Mellstead/Seranko) went 6 - 0 in the 19th Annual Storm Dayz Tournament. Every girl contributed to the success of the team this weekend. The games featured a walk-off home run, highlight reel catches in the outfield, solid defense in the infield, and strong performances by all pitchers and catchers. Congratulations ladies - - keep up the great work !!!

Sofia Sanchez, a 9U DG Rebels Player in 2018 was diagnosed with a rare heart condition which has resulted in her needing a heart transplant.  We are running this tournament as a fundraiser with all proceeds going to aid the family with medical bills

Rebels 18U (Yackle) went 5-2 this past week in Missouri at the USA Softball Northern Region National Championship, finishing in 2nd place.

Congratulations to the girls on an fantastic finish to the season.  Best of luck to our 2 seniors (Meredith Mahoney - Central Iowa and Madison Kern - Carthage College) as they continue their softball careers in college.

Rebels 16U (Yackle) are ASA Northern Region National Champions

Rebels 16U (Yackle) went 7-0 this past week in Missouri at the ASA Northern Region National Championship.

The team worked hard all year playing a highly competitive schedule throughout the Midwest.  All that work paid off this weekend as the team went undefeated to become Northern Region National Champions.  The teams mantra of "Have Fun.  Work Hard.  Never Quit." paid off as they played thru the Missouri heat.  Teams from Illinois, Minnestota, South Dakota, Kansas, Wisconsin, Missouri, Colorado, and Ohio were represented at the tournament.

Congratulations girls on an incredible finish to the season.

Rebels 10U Take 1st in 2017 SWS League

Downers Rebels 10U defeated Oswego Outlaws BN 10-9 in a back-and-forth affair on Tuesday. The game was tied at eight with the Rebels batting in the top of the sixth when Soleil T singled, driving in two runs.

The Rebels collected eight hits and Oswego had 12 in the high-scoring affair.  The Rebels took an early lead in the first inning when a single by Kassie B drove in two.

The Outlaws scored four runs in the fourth inning. Their big inning was driven by singles from Hamaker, Thomas, Canning, and Gengler.

Soleil T, Cali B, and Kayla R each collected multiple hits for the Rebels. Kayla, Cali, and Soleil all had two hits to lead the Rebels. Their defense was perfect and did not commit a single error in the field. Susie G had 12 chances in the field, the most on the team. The Rebels stole 13 bases during the game as four players stole more than one. Lylah P led the way with three.

Jacgowitsch, Thomas, Vaughy, and Hamaker each collected multiple hits for Oswego Outlaws BN. Hamaker led Oswego Outlaws BN with three runs batted in. She went 2-for-3 on the day. Oswego Outlaws BN tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Thomas led the way with two.
